I couldn't be more excited that you have selected me as your wedding photographer! My specialty is weddings and engagements and I love everything about my job. I love meeting with clients to talking (read: gushing) about their big day. I love capturing my couples' love at their engagement sessions and at their wedding. And I love editing all their photographs and then creating beautiful albums and keepsakes that they'll cherish for years. Sigh. I just adore it all.

As someone who's been on the other side of the camera, I totally understand the excitement and nerves and even stress that goes into planning a wedding. Think of me as not just your photographer, but as a friend and even as someone who can help make your wedding day a smashing success.

Client experience + expectations


Now that your onboarding process is complete, we will set a date for your engagement session which you will receive photos from within 2 weeks, if you are ordering Save the Date cards through me we will order those then.

2 months before the big day you will be receiving a questionnaire. Be as detailed as possible, the more information the better! I will be gathering information about your vendors, timeline, specific details, a family shot list, etc. You will then hear from me a month before your big day to go over details and discuss the timeline of events and a week before I will call to go over any final questions (and just a quick chat/check in, really). One to two days after your wedding I will post a sneak peak of 10-15 of my favorite images to my social media accounts.

6-8 weeks after, I will send the final gallery.

After your full gallery has been delivered I will walk you through the process of ordering tangible prints + albums.

Your engagement session


As for how the engagement session goes down, it's all pretty straightforward. You and I work together to create a customized session. For example, we can shoot at the place you two had your first date, head to your favorite park or go somewhere that makes you just bubble with love from the inside out.

Regarding what you wear, I always say to wear what you feel comfortable in. As we customize your session, including the location and props, I'll provide you with tips and advice on how to dress for the day of your session. And, of course, you can always bring a few different outfits and options for the shoot.

Final Payment information


To secure your date a 50% non-refundable retainer is collected. The remaining balance is due 30 prior to the wedding. You will receive an email to complete payment then.

If you prefer, the remaining balance can be split into multiple payments. Just be sure to let me know if that is what you decide.

Tips + Tricks for your wedding day

1.

Do a trial run of your makeup and hair. Both of you! If you can, photograph yourselves with trial hair and makeup to see how it shows up on camera. Then, make any appropriate adjustments.

2.

Choose all the appropriate undergarments for your big day. From your crinoline slip to your bustier to shape wear, what you're wearing underneath your gorgeous dress matters. Those items play a major supporting role -- literally!

3.

Relax. I know it's easier said than done, but when you're relaxed and happy, that makes for some gorgeous photographs!

4.

Be mindful of your posture. When I'm posing you for your formals, I have no problem reminding people to stand up straight. However, I can't exactly interrupt the ceremony should I notice slouching!

5.

Don't be afraid to laugh or show emotion. This is your wedding day! Emotion is good! Let it spill out of you!

6.

Trust me. I'm here to help pose you so that you look your absolute best in every single photo. I'll make sure you're in the best light, posed the best way and against the best backgrounds for all your pictures.
